Saved posts: keep, sort and find them again
A recipe, a day-trip idea, an article for later: good posts quickly disappear in the feed. On Friendstime you save them with one tap and sort them into collections of your own. Here is how it works in the browser and in the app. The author is not told about it.
Saving a post
In the browser, choose the save entry in the post’s menu; in the Android app, tap the bookmark icon. You can only save a post you are allowed to see. The author is not notified when you save it. This way you can also keep posts from groups or pages for later, as long as you are allowed to see them.
Where the list is
In the browser menu the list is called “Saved posts”. In the app you find it under bookmarks. The posts you saved most recently are at the top. Open the list whenever you want to come back to something you set aside.
Creating collections
You can create up to 50 collections of your own, each with a name of 1 to 60 characters, and sort your posts into them, for example by recipes, trips or reading. If you delete a collection, the posts in it stay saved. A well-sorted collection saves you a long search through the feed later.
When a post disappears
If a saved post later becomes private or is removed, or if you block each other, it disappears from your list. So you only ever keep what you are still allowed to see. If you want to keep something for sure, ask the person to send it to you.
Your bookmarks in the export
Your bookmarks are part of the data Friendstime provides in the data export. That way you can keep your collection outside Friendstime too. You start the export on the web in the settings.
