Suspended or removed: your rights and how to appeal

A suspension or a removed post can feel unfair, and sometimes it is a mistake. On Friendstime you get a clear notice and can file an appeal. Here is what you see, how the appeal works and who decides on it.

What you see when suspended

If your account is suspended, Friendstime shows you a dedicated page after signing in instead of a silent redirect. It states the status and reason of the suspension and, for temporary suspensions, the end date. That way you know where you stand and do not have to guess whether it is a technical error.

Appealing an account suspension

On the suspension page, the button “File an appeal by email” opens a prepared email to support@friendsti.me. Briefly explain why you think the suspension is a mistake. Do not include passwords and do not send identity documents unless someone asks for them.

Appealing other decisions

On the page “File an appeal”, when signed in, you see the team’s decisions about your account from the last six months, such as removed content. Your own reports where the team saw no violation are listed there too. For each entry you explain why you think the decision is wrong and give an email address for the reply. That way your appeal goes straight to the right decision.

Who decides

An appeal is free and possible within six months. A human decides on every appeal, not an AI. You can follow the status under your appeals: open, upheld with the decision reversed, rejected or withdrawn.

How suspensions come about

Content and profiles are reported, and people on the moderation team review the reports. In case of violations, content is removed and accounts are suspended. Special protective rules apply to teenagers: if parents withdraw their consent, the account is suspended. When in doubt, read the rules in the legal section before posting.
