Delete a chat: only for me or for both
On Friendstime you can delete a direct chat in two ways. "Only for me" tidies up your view. "For both" deletes your sent messages on the server and hides the rest of the history on both sides.
Only for me
The chat disappears from your list until a new message arrives. Nothing changes for the other person.
For both
Your own sent messages in this chat are deleted from the server. The rest of the history is hidden for both of you. The other person immediately receives the event that the chat was cleared. The response tells you how many messages were deleted and how many were only hidden.
Exceptions and limits
Messages with an open report are kept until the team has reviewed them. "For both" is limited to 10 actions per hour and account, "only for me" to 60. In some chats "for both" is not possible; then you get a notice.
Groups
In groups there is only "clear history on my side". There is no deletion for all members.
