Link in bio
Link in bio is a single page that you link in your profile and that bundles all your important links – such as website, shop or social profiles.
What is link in bio?
Many networks allow only a single link in the profile description (“bio”). Link in bio solves this with a small page of its own: you link only that page, and there, as a list or tiles, are all your destinations, for example your website, a shop, profiles on other networks, a contact or current promotions. Anyone who lands on your profile reaches everything with one click.
Who it is for
Link in bio is used mainly by people who show or offer something online: creatives, clubs, self-employed people, organisers. The page is like a digital business card that you can change at any time without changing the linked address.
What to keep in mind
Only add links you have checked yourself, and label them honestly. Short links hide the destination, so use them sparingly. If you use the page for business, you may need a provider notice (imprint); when in doubt, get advice. Counters for views and clicks show you which links go down well.
On Friendstime
Every account can have a link page; in the browser it is called “My links”, in the app “My link page”. Its address is friendsti.me/links/your-name; you can change the name as long as it is not taken or reserved. You create links with a title, address, icon and description (http, https and mailto addresses are allowed), pin important links to the top, reorder them and group them into categories; there are also “About me” details, a design of your own and an optional imprint. The app also shows a QR code of the address. You can switch the page off or set it to “not public”. Without at least one active link, Friendstime asks search engines not to include the page. You see views, clicks, the most-clicked links and device types as numbers, not as names; Friendstime shows visitors the click count of a link only if you release it for that.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a website of my own for the link page?
No. The page is hosted by Friendstime and is publicly accessible, including for visitors without an account. You see the address in the settings of the page.
Can I see who clicks on my links?
No, only numbers: views and clicks per day, the most-clicked links and device types. For counting, Friendstime stores technical details such as browser, device type, referring address and a hashed IP address.
Can I hide my link page?
Yes. You can switch it off or set it to “not public”; visitors then see a “not found” page.
