Friendstime Premium features: what you get
You can use Friendstime without Premium. Premium is an optional extra with three effects: ads are hidden, a gold crown appears next to your name, and your storage grows from 5 to 50 GB.

No ads and the gold crown
With active Premium, Friendstime shows you no ads in the feed (app and web) or in the sidebars of the home page and the events page. Without Premium, ads labelled as advertising can appear there. For members under 18, Friendstime hides ads anyway. A small gold crown also appears next to your name — on your posts, in the story bar and on your profile.
50 GB instead of 5 GB of storage
Your personal storage for photos, videos and sounds holds 5 GB without Premium and 50 GB with it; a single file may be at most 500 MB. The limit applies on upload: if your usage is above it, Friendstime accepts no new files until you have freed up space. In the browser you see your usage on the “Storage” page, and the app has its own screen for it. The files are stored encrypted on the server (AES-256), but not end-to-end: Friendstime manages the key. If you need more, you can book additional storage packages in the browser.
How to book Premium
In the browser, the “FriendsTime Premium” box on the home page offers a monthly and a yearly plan; it disappears once you have Premium or if you are under 18. You pay on the payment page of the payment provider Stripe. In the Android app you choose the monthly or yearly plan in the Coin Shop and pay by card or direct debit via Stripe — or with coins. You see the price before you pay. Purchases are only possible from age 18. If you book again while Premium is still running, Friendstime appends the new period to the current end.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need Premium to use Friendstime?
No. Premium is optional. Without it you use Friendstime with 5 GB of storage, and as an adult you may come across ads that are labelled as advertising.
How long does a booking last?
The monthly plan credits you 30 days of Premium, the yearly plan 365 days. If you book again before it ends, the new period is added to the current end. The Coin Shop in the Android app shows how many days are left.
Can teenagers buy Premium?
No. Purchases are only possible from age 18, and the Premium box is not shown to members under 18 in the browser. Friendstime hides ads for them anyway.
