Advertising on Friendstime

Last updated: 23.10.2026 Version 1.0 EN

Where ads appear

Ads appear between posts in the feed: after every fifth post on the web and after every 15th in the app. On the web there is also one ad in the right-hand column of the home page. Every ad is marked “Sponsored” and shows who is advertising.

How an ad is chosen

The choice depends on the context, not on you. If a campaign’s keywords match the text of the posts around the ad slot, that ad comes first. Otherwise it is random.

We do not build advertising profiles and do not use data about your behaviour on other websites. There are no ad-network tracking pixels on our pages.

Who sees no ads

Accounts under 18 and Premium members see no ads.

What we store

For billing advertisers and to fight click fraud, we store the ad, the time, your user ID and your IP address for every impression and click.

“Why am I seeing this?”

Every ad has a “Why am I seeing this?” link. It says who paid for the ad and that it was chosen by context, not based on you.

No political advertising

We do not accept political advertising through our ad system. This means ads by or for parties, candidates, governments and political campaigns, and ads meant to influence an election, a referendum or a legislative process.

If you still see such an ad, report it using the report form with the reason “Prohibited political advertising” and we will take it down.

Posts in which members express their political views are not advertising and are not covered by this rule.

Advertising in members’ posts

If you receive money or other benefits for showing a product in a post, you must label the post as advertising, for example with “Ad” at the beginning.
