Manage a group: invite links, welcome message, reports
As a group admin you have tools that go beyond inviting individual friends. An invite link brings in new members, and a welcome message greets them on their first visit.
Create an invite link
In the Android app, open “Invite links” in the group menu as an admin and create a link in three steps. You choose how long it is valid (24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or no expiry), how many people may use it (1, 10, 50 or unlimited) and whether people join directly or send a join request. Then you copy or share the link.
What a link does
A valid link lets people join the group, even if it is closed or secret. When a signed-in Friendstime member opens the link in the browser, the group page shows an invitation card; one click joins the group or, for a link with approval, sends a join request. The group’s admins decide on requests.
Keep track of links and revoke them
The list of active links shows until when a link is valid and how often it has been used; each group can have up to 50 active links at a time. Once you revoke a link, nobody else joins through it. People who have already joined stay members.
Welcome message
Admins set the welcome message when editing the group, in the browser and in the Android app. New members see it the first time they open the group – as a card above the tabs in the browser and as an overlay sheet in the app. It is shown during the first 14 days after joining, but not to the person who founded the group.
Reports and moderation log
In the Android app, admins find the reports on posts in their group under “Reported posts” and resolve or dismiss them. The “Moderation log” lists the moderation steps in the group with the time and the person who took them.

Frequently asked questions
Who can create invite links?
Only the group’s admins, in the Android app. Moderators and members do not see the menu item.
Can people join a secret group via a link?
Yes. A valid link works like an invitation, including for closed and secret groups. With a link that requires approval, a join request is created instead.
How long is an invite link valid?
As long as you choose when creating it: 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or no expiry. You can revoke it at any time.
Who sees the welcome message?
Members who joined within the last 14 days, when they open the group. The person who founded the group does not see it.
Can I change the welcome message in the browser?
Yes, as an admin when editing the group. In the Android app, the field is in the “Edit” dialog.
